As Mercedes (Las Robertas’ singer) said: “We women are subject to many kinds of violence, even in the music scene, we get constantly asked to demonstrate our skills and knowledge, to other kinds of sharper harassment. So I’m not gonna lie, sometimes I want to fight back those guys, and tell them to fuck off, but instead I like to imagine how would be a world where those dynamics are not even needed, and we can collectively flourish in love and understanding. If I had an imperium would be based on that, not in violence. The video is a tribute to some early psychedelic influences we have and their rough way of shooting, we wanted to present this idea of violence, the consideration to go that route, but in the end, choosing to transcend and share”.
