The identity of the recycle studio represented a very interesting challenge. They work with plastic. It’s the most hated material in the world in our current times. They didn’t want to hide it. They are proud to work with plastic. To address the problem. To talk about the shadow we avoid as a society.
They want to get away of green-washing aesthetics but they also wanted to look industrial (as plastic is usually manufactured this way) and they also want to look, chic and soft.
I worked on this identity and pushed them to showcase the materials themselves. Let the materials speak. Instead of many graphics and images they needed to shwocase the plastic. I’m very proud of how this client apply their brand book. They just keep adding more wieght to their brand with every application, format and exhibition.
They are currently employing many people in this process of getting the material to the workshop and transform ing it into something beautiful, long lasting, to admire. Lastly, their are bringing back tones of waste from the rivers and the sea to homes and spaces in the city avoiding wildlife and soils to have to deal with it at least in our lifetime.
